(The Role of Structural Capital in the Application of Total Quality Management (A Field Study on Idlib University Hospital

Abstract

 This research aims to identify the impact of structural capital on the application of total quality management in Idlib University Hospital, in addition to setting the recommendations that help the hospital under study on apply to total quality management, by studying the role of structural capital, including organizational structures, systems and procedures in the hospital) in The application of total quality management with its elements (commitment of senior management, focus on workers, focus on the customer, and continuous improvement) in Idlib University Hospital to achieve a competitive advantage in it and work within quality standards and ISO systems.

The research reached the following results:

1- There is a positive, strong and statistically significant correlation at the significance level (0.05) between structural capital and total quality management.

2- There is a statistically significant correlation at a significant level (0.05) between structural capital and the overall quality dimensions (commitment of senior management, focus on workers, focus on the customer, and continuous improvement).

3- The members of the research sample believe that the hospital cares about its structural capital to a good degree that may rise to the application of total quality management in it.
