The figurative image (simile, metonymy, and metaphor) is one of the most prominent artistic features evident in heroic poetry from the early days of Islam and the Syrian revolution. The elements of the figurative image appeared in their various types and detailed forms, expressing the intense and passionate emotions of heroism and affecting the audience with their diverse aesthetic qualities (exaggeration, conciseness, clarity, …) that strongly serve the heroic poetry by reflecting the values of heroism, courage, and sacrifice. These images were clear and spontaneous, documenting reality in an artistic style. The poetry of both stages was similar in the essential aspects, such as precision of expression, clarity of the image, and imparting a sense of spirit and vitality, while differing in some secondary aspects
