Abstract

Public money oversight is one of the fundamental principles for achieving transparency and accountability in the management of state financial resources. It helps prevent corruption and resource exploitation, thereby strengthening trust between citizens and the government. Additionally, Sharia oversight of money is essential to ensure that financial transactions conform to Islamic principles and values, ensuring transparency and integrity in financial resource management. This research aims to clarify the nature of Sharia oversight, its legitimacy, its ruling in Islamic law, and to explain the types of oversight, their objectives, the criteria for selecting members, and the adaptation of their work. It also details the mechanism of public money oversight through public institutions affiliated with the Salvation Government. One of the key findings of this study is that oversight of public money is a religious duty and a matter of public interest for the Muslim community. The selection of a member for Sharia oversight must meet conditions and standards that ensure they fulfill their duties optimally, and the necessity for the independence of the Sharia authority from the administration of institutions guarantees that their mission is carried out without favoritism or bias.
