Medical Malpractice Insurance (Northwestern Syria as an Example)
Keywords:
warranty, error, medicine, medical errorAbstract
The medical field in northwestern Syria was generally weak and lacking in medical capabilities, whether in terms of personnel or medical and emergency equipment. It also suffered from a shortage in the number of doctors and the travel of most of them, which forced some of them to practice a specialty other than their own in some cases, which negatively affected the level and quality of medical work. This research came to define the terms of the title, and determined the controls of medical work, and concluded that the doctor should not be held responsible for unexpected results as long as he was committed to those controls, and obligated to do so in the event of negligence or transgression. It also showed the reasons for medical errors in northwestern Syria, and mentioned the types of those errors and the status of the guarantee in each of them.
