Utterances that are similar in their meaning are organized within semantic fields with a common feature, and this does not mean that these utterances are used in the same sense, because there are differences between their meaning that can be drawn by tracing the contexts in which they are mentioned.
This research aims to investigate a range of utterances that indicate kinship in each of the Holy Qur’an and the poetry of the Ten Mu’allaqat, which belong to one semantic field, and stand on their original lexical significance, then extrapolate their multiple contexts to determine their connotations as they were used in the Qur’anic and poetic texts, and show the extent of deviation the original meaning by employing the role of the two types of context: linguistic and sitiuational. With the help of what was mentioned in the Arabic dictionaries and books of interpretation in directing the meaning of these utterances.
